It is with great pleasure that we announce Robert Koplowitz, formerly of Forrester, Microsoft, Oracle and Lotus, and Uffe Sørensen, long term IBMer, as our keynote speakers for Day 1. They will speak about how IBM's design strategy is influencing the software now starting to emerge from the IBM's software group.

On day 2 we have Andrew Grill leading us through "Culture over Technology" providing examples of how companies have benefited from being a social organisation. Andrew is a renowned speaker and his insight will get us all thinking.

Our keynote speakers are global leaders in their fields and we are looking forward to their insights.

This September at ICON UK, you’ll see room monitors and a special speed-sponsoring group in brightly coloured T-shirts. For the first time, we are joining forces with The Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity. I first heard of this organisation whilst on a charity motorcycle ride from Goa to Kochin called Enduro India 2007. I connected with them when I got home and discovered they were a charity local to me. I’ve been supporting them in one-way or another ever since. Rainbow Trust supports over 25% of the 6,000 families in England who have a child aged 0-18 years of age with a life threatening or terminal illness. They provide support to the whole family 24/7, 365 days a year, by cooking meals, looking after siblings, organising appointments, and much, much more.

This year, there is a registration fee of £50 per attendee. (refunds for speakers will be given). I have the great pleasure of announcing that all profits from ICON UK this year will go to The Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity. At the end of the event, we’ll present a cheque to the Rainbow Trust representatives in attendance. These funds will help the charity reach their goal of providing support to every family who has a terminally ill child.

We’ll be making more announcements as time goes on in regard to tracks and sessions. Stay tuned!

Today we have announced the agenda for ICON UK 2015.

As you can see we have a packed agenda planned and we will be announcing the details for each breakout session as we finalise them. Please mark your diaries for September 21st and 22nd if you have not already, it's looking to be another massive content packed couple of days.

We have also rounded out the massive set of abstracts that we have and we are pleased to bring you the following facts and figures.

  • There will be 2 keynotes, one on each day.
  • There are 28 breakout sessions to attend across the 2 days.
  • There will be a new Ask IBM & IBM Champions session
  • There are 28 unique speakers this year, of which 18 are IBM Champions for ICS 2015
